The old and the young

Description

Here at the Jacques-Cartier park in my city of Sherbrooke the Magog river makes a dog leg. The old and rusty (but still in use) CP railway bridge (1808?) seems to join the younger Jacques-Cartier bridge in a perfect 90 degrees. Between the two a tall tree and lush vegetation reminds me that I live south near the U.S. border. The mirror calm water tells a story about people that discovers and developped Canada by first setting on the river banks and lake shores because long before the rusty railway exist it was the best means of transportation.
